Deaf Men's Conference - 2010 Speakers

Keith Catron

Keith Catron's entire family is completely immersed in deaf culture. He was born in Spokane,
Washington and attended School for the Deaf in Vancouver, WA.

He grew up attending a Deaf Lutheran church with his family. Keith can still remember after
one church service his father's frustration and desperate wish for a deaf pastor who could
sign the Gospel message more clearly. The frustration was imprinted in Keith's heart and
became the starting point for what would become God's calling into deaf ministry.

Keith attended Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. where he met his wife, Lisa.
Upon returning home for a summer break, one of his old high school friends led him to
faith in Christ. After his third year at Gallaudet he transferred to North Central Bible
College in Minneapolis, Minnesota to study in becoming a deaf pastor.
Once he completed his Bachelors in Deaf Culture Pastoral Studies in 1986, the family
(including their two-month old baby, Clyde) moved to Miami to plant a deaf church.

Keith joined The Bridge in 1989 where he serves as pastor of Fresno Deaf Church.
Keith loves his job working at The Bridge, teaching and sharing God's Word.
He delights in watching God transform the lives of people.
